{"id":2653,"date":"2023-05-10T11:12:51","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T11:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/?p=2653"},"modified":"2023-08-01T11:21:23","modified_gmt":"2023-08-01T11:21:23","slug":"national-youth-authority-nya-trains-youth-in-economic-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/index.php\/national-youth-authority-nya-trains-youth-in-economic-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"NATIONAL YOUTH AUTHORITY (NYA) TRAINS YOUTH IN ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2657 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/BEEE-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/BEEE-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/BEEE-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wma.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/BEEE.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The National Youth Authority (NYA) has organised a training workshop for youth in some economic activities specifically Beekeeping and Snail Rearing.<br \/>\nThe Training Workshop was funded by the Municipal Assembly as part of the Assembly&#8217;s Local Economic Development (LED) programmes to boost business operations in the Municipality.<br \/>\nThe training programme also sought to equip and develop the people in entrepreneurial skills.<br \/>\nIn the Keynote address delivered on his behalf by the Municipal Director for the Information Services Department, Stanick Sofel Amuzu Kpodo, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Alexander Kwadwo Obour Damoah disclosed that the Assembly has budgeted to procure 3, 500 Beehive Boxes for distribution to Beekeepers. Hundred (100) Beehive Boxes have been procured and ready for distribution. He noted that the Assembly would continue to roll out more Local Economic Development (LED) programmes and provide the needed support to create jobs and income for the teeming masses particularly the youth.<br \/>\nThe Regional Director for National Youth Authority Ms Fati Bamba encouraged the youth to venture into Agriculture as it has become more lucrative. She assured participants of more training programmes in collaboration with the Assembly as long as the NYA exists as a government institution to facilitate youth development. She advised the youth to form associations and unite for easy access to government support.<br \/>\nThe Municipal Director for the National Youth Authority Ms Abigail Oforwa Afari encouraged participants to take the training seriously and put the skills acquired into practice to help reduce unemployment.
