\"\"The Wenchi Municipal Assembly has presented its 2024 – 2027 Composite Budget to the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (BRCC) and the National Technical Working Team for hearing and scrutiny.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Budget Hearing afforded the Regional Coordinating Council and the National Technical Working Team the opportunity to jointly review the Assembly’s revenue generation and expenditure performance for 2023 and the targets set for 2024 – 2027 in line with the 2024 – 2027 Budget Preparation Guidelines and government’s policy priorities and programmes. The National Technical Working Team consisted of Mr Jonathan Azazou from the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Mr Charles Nketia and Mr Avedzi S. Kennedy both from the Ministry of Finance as well as representatives of the Ministry of Local Government Decentralisation and Rural Development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Municipal Budget Analyst Mr Desmond Titus Banon presented the 2024 – 2027 Composite Budget of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Alexander Obour Damoah. The presentation covered Revenue generation, account on utilisation of the revenue generated, fiscal policy measures and economic policies of the Assembly in the areas of infrastructural projects and other socio-economic sectors to enhance the living standards of the people. The Municipal Assembly Team was led by the Coordinating Director Mr Ayambire Akiditi on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Alexander Obour Damoah. The Team included the Presiding Member Mr James Kwasi Oduro Asare, Chairpersons of concerned Sub-Committees, concerned Heads of Departments, Traditional Council, amongst others.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After thorough scrutiny, the National Technical Working Team and the RCC applauded the Wenchi Municipal Assembly for following and applying the 2024 – 2027 Budget Preparation Guidelines and government’s policy priorities in preparing its Budget document.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) representative Mr Jonathan Azazou entreated all concerned stakeholders particularly the Traditional Authorities to take particular interest and make inputs and contributions in the Budget preparation and implementation of their Assemblies to help consolidate and address the policy priorities of their people.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In an Address delivered on her behalf, the Bono Regional Minister Hon Justina Owusu Banahene charged all Municipal\/District Chief Executives in the Region to prioritise monitoring and evaluation to achieve the set objectives and needed results in Budget Implementation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
