\"\"The Ministry of National Security through the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (BRCC) in collaboration with the Wenchi Municipal Assembly has embarked on Public Sensitization Campaign on “See-Something Say-Something.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Public Education Campaign sought to educate and empower the public to equip citizens with the requisite knowledge to understand the slogan whose mission is to raise public awareness in two primary areas; identify signs that indicate potential nexus to terrorism and how to report suspicious activities and characters to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for swift action. Report to your Community Leaders either the Chief, Elders, Assembly Member, Police or Security Agencies. The slogan encourages citizens and the general public to always be on high alert and guard and report suspicious behaviour and situations through Toll Free Number 999. Be vigilant and smart. The Campaign partners with key Stakeholders to further create awareness in communities with the main objective of maintaining safe environment and preventing terrorism and terrorism-related crime. Call Toll Free Number 999 to report. This suspicious activities should be judged on behaviour but not racism, ethnicity, religion or gender. “If You See Something Say Something” Initiative does not compromise fundamental principle and Civil Rights and human Liberties. Reporting focuses on actions such as unauthorized access to restricted areas rather than appearance.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Six (6) Member Team from the National Security Ministry included Captain Ishmael Frimpong Deputy Director of Operations, Mrs Akosua Danquah Ntim Sekyere Coordinator for the “See Something Say Something Campaign, Mr Kofi Osei Mensah, Mr Albert Manioni. The Municipal Information Officer for the Information Services Department (ISD) Mr Stanick Sofel Amuzu Kpodo coordinated the Campaign programme in reaching out to the target audience. The Team interacted with Staff and Students of Wenchi Senior High School (WESS), Vehicle Owners and Drivers from Transport Unions – GPRTU and PROTOA, Heads of Departments\/Units and Staff of the Assembly and Radio Discussion on Ewiase 95.7 FM.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Resource Persons took turns to address the audience entreating the public to volunteer information to the appropriate authorities for swift action.<\/div>\n
