\"\"The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Wenchi Constituency Hon Alhaji Seidu Haruna has touted his gains and achievements in his first time from 2020.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The MP made the presentation in a Media Engagement as part of his Public Engagement Series to account to the people on his stewardship as the Member of Parliament for the Constituency.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The MP enumerated his programmes and policy initiatives on completed and ongoing projects including physical infrastructural projects across the length and breadth of the Constituency. The Projects and achievements cut across every sector such as Education, Health, Agriculture, Roads, ICT, Skills Development & Interventions, Job Creation, Water & Sanitation, Sports Development, amongst others.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

EDUCATION<\/div>\n
The MP donated Desktop Computers and Laptops to Schools and Institutions. Beneficiaries included; Wenchi Senior High School (WESS), Amponsakrom M\/A Basic School, Wenchi SDA Basic School, Wurompo M\/A Basic School, Jensusu Anglican Basic School, St. Steven\u2019s Catholic Preparatory School-Subinso No:2, Alhaji Benney Islamic Basic School, Wenchi Methodist ‘C’ Basic School, Nureea Islamic Basic School, Salvation Army Basic School- Asuano, Wenchi Model ‘C’ Basic School, Nkonsia M\/A JHS, Imam Seidu Islamic School Wenchi, Tromeso Methodist Basic School, Tromeso R\/C Basic School, Koase R\/C Basic School, Al-Faruq College of Education Wenchi, Buoku L\/A Primary School, Presby Basic School Wenchi, Nkonsia Chief Palace, Awisa M\/A Basic School, Anthony-Yamin Krom Basic School, ASWAQ Cluster of Schools, Kanaase Basic school, Municipal Education Directorate (GES), Nkyeraa R\/C ‘A’ Basic School, Municipal NHIS Office, CID Ghana Police Service, Branam M\/A Basic School, Nkyera RC Basic School, Twenty (20) Laptops to the Teacher Unions, Five (5) Laptops to Wenchi Senior High School National Maths & Science Quiz (NMSQ Team) Students and the Coordinator (NMSQ Team)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Constructed Classrooms & Pavilions; 3-Unit Classroom Pavillion at Bepotrim, 3-Unit Classroom Pavilion at Kwaaduom, 3-unit Classroom support at Ayaayor, yearly support to BECE Candidates. Organized and sponsored Mock Examinations for all BECE Candidates every year.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Distributed Mathematical Sets to all 2023 BECE Candidates. Facilitated the transportation of 2024 BECE Materials to the various Centers,<\/div>\n
Sponsored 334 Tertiary students under the MP’s Scholarship Initiative. Distributed 1500 Desks to schools such as Nana Duku Basic School, Old Mframaso Basic, Subinso No.1 M\/A Basic School, Ayaayor Basic School, Kwaku Manu Basic, Bepotrim Basic, Alhaji Benney, Islamic Basic School,<\/div>\n
Bronoso Basic School, K.P. Basic School Gyabaa Kura, Droboso Methodist Basic School, Imam Seidu Islamic School. Distributed dozens of Bicycles to students\/Pupils under the \u201cOne Rural JHS Student One Bicycle\u201d initiative at Akrobi and Nkyeraa Boase. Donated packets of Roofing Sheets to schools for renovation and construction works some emergency infrastructure. Donated 35 modern Chairs for the GES Directorate and supported Director\u2019s CODE Training Workshop.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

AGRICULTURE<\/div>\n
The MP sponsored the 1st Runner-up full Award package with a Motorbike for the 2021 Municipal Farmers Day, sponsored the 1st Runner-up Award package with GHC 4,000 for the 2022 Municipal Farmers Day, presented items such as Wellington Boots, Compound NPK, Weedicides, Cutlasses for the 2023 Municipal\/Regional Farmers Day Celebrations in Wenchi, sponsored 1st Runner-up full Award package with a Motorbike for 2024 Municipal Farmers Day.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

HEALTH<\/div>\n
Donated Equipment and accessories to the Zongo CHPS compound.<\/div>\n
Constructed 30-Bed Capacity new Block comprising Male, Female and Children’s Wards to expand the Buoku CHPS Compound to serve the enclave.<\/div>\n
Donated in a fundraising in the UK for Wenchi Methodist Hospital held on the 8th October 2022 at Cardiff.<\/div>\n
Distributed 62 wheelchairs to the Physically Challenged.<\/div>\n
Presented a computer with its accessories and a packet of roofing sheet and street lights to Agubie CHPS compound.<\/div>\n
Organized social health activities through the Municipal Health Directorate.<\/div>\n
Renewed over 4000 NHIS Cards for constituents.<\/div>\n
Donated Hospital Beds to Zongo CHPS Compound, Ayigbe CHPS Compound, Buoku CHPS Compound<\/div>\n
Health screening exercise at Ahwene, Asampu, and Branam state farms.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WATER & SANITATION<\/div>\n
Constructed a KVIP at Akete. Constructed Mechanized Boreholes at Nkyeraa Senior High School, Kobeda near Ayaayor, Botenso, Fremano, Awisa Domeabra Dagarti Line, Subinso Bilbour, Atta Akura, Cameroon Park Subinso No:2, Nkyeraa Pewodie. The MP also repaired and serviced existing Boreholes as follows; Subinso No:1, Ahenfie Boreholes Mechanized, Seidu Akura, Nwoase Boreholes Mechanized, repaired Boreholes at Agubie, Ayigbe, Ahwene, Adwee, Siekrom. Some Boreholes at Awisa, Nkyeraa SHS, Botenso were connected to electricity.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SECURITY<\/div>\n
The MP presented three (3) motorbikes to the Wenchi Divisional Police Command, Diamond Street Lights to all the 29 Assembly Members, set of Desktops Computers to the CID Office, provided over 500 Street Lights for communities in the Constituency such as Ahyiayem, Tromeso, Buoku, Nyinanpongase, Asoufri, Amoakrom, Yaminkrom, Ahwene, Ayaayo, Wurompo, Bepotrim, Akete, Ayigbe<\/div>\n

SOLAR LIGHTS & STREET LIGHTING<\/div>\n
The MP provided Solar Lights at Seidu Akura, Konkomba, Kwanware, Bilibor, Nsuhunu, Branam State Farms, Atuna, Asempu, Adwee, Bonkro, Yaw Owusu. Povided Street Lights over 40 Communities and Organisations in the Constituency. Presented Street Lights to all the 29 Electoral Areas and Assembly Members for their communities.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT<\/div>\n
Trained over 4000 people through the women empowerment program on bread making, assorted pastries, liquid and bar soap.<\/div>\n
Supported dressmakers at annual graduation.<\/div>\n
Supported National Association of Beauticians and Hairdressers-Wenchi Branch with 30 sets of brand-new hairdryers for graduation on 28th Nov 2021.<\/div>\n
Instituted a hired purchase scheme for tailors and dressmakers in Wenchi, over 25 industrial sewing machines were supplied.<\/div>\n
Satellite installation training for over 200 youth at Al-Faruq in 2022<\/div>\n
An intensive training of over 35 individuals on CCTV installation, gate automation, electric fence,<\/div>\n
Empowerment program for the physically challenged individuals.<\/div>\n
Organized Islamic educational workshop from which more than 12 persons have had full scholarship to study in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

ROADS<\/div>\n
Reshaped the following Roads;<\/div>\n
Nkyeraa-Botenso, Nkyeraa-Asampu-Adwee, Subinso-Mansie, Amponsakrom-Hiamankyene-Kuadom, Buoku-Kokosu, Buoku-Ahwene-Bronoso-Asuofri, Mallam-Siekrom, Wenchi VRA Junction-Methodist University (Ofuman) Road, Zongo roads, ASWAQ Down.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
SPORTS<\/div>\n
The MP presented sets of Jerseys and Footballs to over 30 Communities and dosens of Teams. Reshaped School Parks such as SDA Basic School Park, Imam Seidu School Park, ASWAQ School Park, Amponsakrom Basic School Park, Akete Basic School Park, Nureea School Park, Roman Catholic School Park and many others in the Constituency to enhance Sporting activities. Constructed concrete Volleyball Court for the Wenchi Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS). Organized yearly Soccer Gala Games with trophies and continuous distribution of sets of Jerseys and Footballs since 2021 to date. Supported Wenchiman Stars and other Sporting Clubs for many Sports events.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The MP noted that his endless handy work and many more achievements could be felt and seen every part of the Constituency and benefitted everybody irrespective of one’s political affiliation and indicated his resolve to do more to improve and better the lots of the people.<\/div>\n
