Assembly Members in the Wenchi Municipality have receive motor bikes to help them execute their duties and roles in their respective areas effectively.
Presenting the 43 motor bikes, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Dr. Prince Kwakye AFriyie urged the Assembly Members to be readily available at all times to attend to the needs of their people. He emphasized that the motor bike was to serve as means of transport to help them carry out their official duties as community leaders.
The Presiding Member Hon Samuel Mensah who received the motor bikes on behalf of the Assembly Members, for distribution lamented the transport challenge they face, particularly those in the rural areas which have hampered the effective discharge of their roles. He said the motor bikes would end their ordeals and ease them from the unnecessary expenses and unwarranted pressure. The PM expressed appreciation to the Nana Addo – Bawumiah led government including the Member of Parliament Prof George Gyan-Baffour and decentralized authorities such as NALAG, Local Government Ministry, Regional Minister, for facilitating the decision to provide them means of transport.
