The Municipal Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has embarked on campaign exercise to against fire outbreaks in the Muncipality.
The campaign is aimed at reducing fire incidence in the area to save lives and property.

The Team also sensitized the public on domestic fires usually caused by cooking in the market, electrical faults, illegal electrical connections, engaging quack electricians, negligence on the use of candles, gas, etc.
The campaign was held through radio panel discussions on the local radio stations; Radio West Africa 92.5, Ewiase 95.7 Fm and Royals 104.7 Fm in Wenchi. The programme was also carried out on some selected Community Information Centres to further touch base with the people in the communities.
