The Member of Parliament for the Wenchi Constituency Hon Alhaji Seidu Haruna has constructed a new Toilet Facility for Akete Community in the Wenchi Constituency.The 1No: 8-Seater Male and Female Facility Project constructed and funded by the Member of Parliament (MP) was part of his Water and Sanitation development initiatives to resolve and stop open defecation in communities to improve the health and wellbeing of the people.
Addressing the Chiefs, Opinion Leaders and people of the beneficiary Community to commission the Project for use, the MP Hon Alhaji Seidu Haruna emphasized the critical role of the Facility, stressing that it was one of the surest ways to prevent cholera and other related diseases. The MP indicated his commitment to promote and improve the welfare of the people in the Constituency. He thanked the Chiefs and people of the area for their support and cooperation that has translated the initiative into a reality. He pledged to continuously carry out more developmental projects.
The Assembly Member for the area Mr Umar Osman expressed appreciation to the MP for the Project and asked for more to improve the living conditions of his people.
