The General Assembly of Wenchi Municipal Assembly has Approved its 2021 Composite Budget and Annual Action Plan. The approval was given after the Municipal Budget Analyst and Development Planning Officer presented the draft documents at a G.A meeting held on 27th October ,2020. The draft Documents was presented to Executive Committee meeting on 8th October,2020 which had the members of the committee adding their inputs.
The Presiding Member Hon. Samuel Mensah in his remarks advised management of the Assembly to be guided by the Budget in the execution of projects and programmes. He further announced to members that, the documents will be uploaded to the Municipal Assembly Website to allow easy access to the documents. He added that, this interprets the true meaning of bringing governance to the people at their doorsteps.
The Municipal Finance Officer was given the opportunity to present ,the 2020 Auditor generals report . After the presentation some of the members advised management to practice due diligences to avoid Audit queries .
The Hon . MCE commended members for contributing their ideas to the meeting , he urged them to continue to work hard for Wenchi to achieve its developmental goal.
