Barely 3 months ago, the Minister for Planning and Member of Parliament for the area Professor George Gyan-Baffour cut sod for the construction of a multi-purpose Resource Center in Wenchi to train and equip the locals in entrepreneurship.
A visit to the site by the team of Stakeholders has shown that work on the construction of the multi-purpose project is progressing speedily. The project is being undertaken by MMANAB Company Limited Kumasi as the Contractor and Architectural & Engineering Services Limited (AESL) Sunyani being the Consultant.
It was observed that concrete works, Reinforcement, Form work, Block work, were all 100% complete and Hardcore filling was 95%. Artisans such as Masons, Labourers, Steel Benders, Carpenters, were busily at the site working in order to meet the deadline.
The Municipal Head of the National Board for Small Scale Industry/Business Advisory Centre Evelyn Yangnuu and the Technical Team were happy about the progress and level of work done so far. She was hopeful the facility would be completed within schedule for the people to benefit. Miss Evelyn Yangnuu further stressed the economic benefits of the project to the people, saying it would help boost business and entrepreneurship in the area.
