CHLORINATION ASSISTANCE AND SENSITIZATION EXERCISE AT NCHIRAA CONDUCTED BY AQUAYA INSTITUTE (REAL WATER), KNUST.

 The Wenchi Municipal Assembly (WMA), in partnership with the Aquaya Institute and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), conducted a chlorination assistance program for water treatment in Nchiraa. Mr. Abdul-Nazib Mohammed, Assistant Development Planning Officer from WMA led the Team to the community.

This three-days (27th -29th may,204) Chlorination and Sensitization Exercise was organized with support from USAID and the Conrad Hilton Foundation. It aimed to enhance water quality and increase community awareness about the program’s benefits.

Nchiraa, a recipient of the Rural Evidence and Learning for Water (REAL-Water) initiative within the municipality, is equipped with a mechanized borehole connected to a screened concrete overhead tank with a capacity of 7,000,000 liters, as well as twenty standpipes for household distribution.
