The Wenchi Municipal Assembly led by the regional minister Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene, MCE Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah & the Paramount Chief of Wenchi Traditional Area, Nana Ampem Osagyefo Annye Amo Ampong Tabrako III. The commission of the sports stadium for Wenchiman was done on the 27th. day of September, 2023. The Regional Minister pledges the Wenchiman with the continuation on carryout her mandate to ensure Wenchiman rejuvenate in the field social economic development the government seeks to bring to the doorsteps of the people. she further edges the Assembly to ensure they practice culture of maintenance to keep the stadium in good shape at all times. The Hon. MCE added his voice by encourage the youth and various local football teams around Wenchi to take advantage of the stadium to develop talents. The beautiful ceremony could not have ended remarkably without the Omanhene of Wenchi, adding his quarter. the paramount chief of Wenchi traditional area pledge to the plead by the Wenchi sporting coordinator to build a spectators’ stand which will be named after the Omanhene. the ceremony was climaxed with a football match between a GPL Division-one team, Young Apostles FC and the Selected side team representing Wenchiman. The Young Apostles FC emerged victorious over the Wenchiman selected side with scored aggregate of 2:0.
