The Municipal Chief Executive Alexander Kwadwo Obour Damoah has addressed the First General Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Eighth Assembly.
Addressing Assembly Members, Heads of Departments and Units and Stakeholders, the MCE gave vivid reports on various sectors; Security has been enhanced due to efforts and measures. Human Resource giving the staff strength, Finance and Administration indicative of revenue inflows and outflows. On programmes and projects, three infrastructural development projects namely Acqua-Privy Toilet for ASWAQ Cluster of Schools, Water Closets Toilet and Urinal for Wenchi Old Market being new projects and 3-Unit Classroom Block with Toilet and Urinals continued and completed at Amoakrom for Amoakrom & Twumkrom were commissioned. Other projects including the Wenchi Sports Field, Classroom Block at Nwoase, mechanized boreholes with Water Storage Tank at various stages of completion. He also touched on efforts being made in the areas of Local Economic Development, Agriculture, Roads, Education, to mention but a few.
The Chief Executive noted that most of the achievements chalked as a District could not have been possible without the prevailing unity of purpose and collaboration between the Assembly and all key stakeholders. He was optimistic of many more achievements with hard work in unity.
