MCE ASSURES IMMEDIATE COMPLETION OF WENCHI SPORTS FIELD

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi Alexander K. Obour Damoah has assured the people in the Municipality to complete the Wenchi Sports Stadium as immediately as possible for use in 2022.

The MCE gave the assurance in a One-on-One interview with Wenchi based Ewiase 95.7 Fm after a site monitoring and inspection tour on the facility by the Chief Executive and the technical team for the project to assess the progress of work and early time completion possibility.

The radio programme formed part of public engagements and interaction with the constituents to update them on key development projects and policies being undertaken by the Assembly.

Hon Alexander Obour Damoah noted that funding from the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) had been made readily available for the project, thus barring any unforeseen circumstances and technical challenges, the project could be completed by June 2022.

The project components include construction of the Sports Arena and Grassing, furnishing of Dressing Room consisting, wooden cabinet along the walls of the home and away dressing, drilling, and mechanization of  Borehole with overhead tank (4, 000 Liters).

Construction of chain-link fencing and chain-link tunnel at the Sports Field. Construction of 3-seater WC toilet with 3-urinal bowls under the existing VIP Stand and the provision of HP Air-conditioner at the Press Box of the VIP Stand at the Field.
