MCE MEETS SCHOOL FEEDING CATERERS IN WENCHI

The Municipal Chief Executive Alexander Obour Damoah has met School Feeding Caterers in the Wenchi Municipality.

The meeting was to interact with the caterers and address their concerns and challenges encountered in their operations.
The caterers expressed a number of challenges they faced in their operations such as delay in payment, encounter with suppliers, due to debts, inadequate feeding fee per child, amongst others. The caterers appealed for timely release of funds and increment of feeding fee per child to enable them remain in operation. they explained that foodstuffs and other commodities have become expensive. Delay in payments have not only soiled their cordial relationship with their suppliers but also crippled them from operation. 
The MCE commended the caterers for their sacrifice, hard work and commitment, regardless of the challenges therein. According to him, government would take all the necessary steps to address all the challenges, hence urged the caterers to continue to give off their best to help improve the policy. He re-assured the caterers of government’s commitment to achieve the needed results.
The Zonal Coordinator of the Feeding Programme for Wenchi, Tain and Banda Madam Grace Pokua Tabiri urged the caterers to accept the challenges and assured that the problems would soon be over as government had continually kept touch with them.
