PUBLIC SENSITIZATION BY THE ASSEMBLY ON 2023 FEE FIXING RESOLUTION

The Revenue Head Francis Ashamata of the Revenue Unit with the Municipal Information Officer Stanick Sofel Amuzu Kpodo has carried out public sensitization on the 2023 Fee Fixing Resolution of the Assembly.
The radio programme was to educate the public on the new tolls, rates and levies under the 2023 Fee Fixing Resolution with an upward adjustment in some of the rates which had been approved by the General Assembly for implementation beginning January, 2023.
The sensitization covered Daily Market Tolls, Lorry Park Tolls, Slaughter House Fee, Business Registration, Conveyances and Tricycle Stickers. The Tricycle (Pragyia and Motor King) levy is paid yearly. Lorry Park and Market Tolls paid daily by vehicle operators and market women and traders. Conveyances apply to bags of foodstuffs and truck loads.
There are two (2) types of Business Registration; Registrar General and Municipal Assembly. The Registrar General Registration which provides the national certificate is facilitated by the Business Advisory Centre (BAC) whereas the Assembly Registration that issues the Business Operation Certificate is done by the Revenue Unit.
