The Wenchi Municipal Office of the ZoomLion Ghana Limited in collaboration with the Municipal Environmental Health & Sanitation Unit and Ghana Health Service has organised the Larviciding Training Workshop under the National Mosquito Control Programme (NaMCoP) for its Spraying Operatives who undertake spraying and fumigation duties in the Municipality.The Training programme was to other purposes to educate and equip the Sprayers with the requisite technical knowledge and skills. This would enable them carry out and enhance the performance of their operations to achieve the expected results.
The Technical Officers for the training programme were the Adams Kwabena Yeboah and Innocent Komla Alarbi of the Wenchi Zoom Lion Office.
The Municipal Zoom Lion Coordinator Adams Kwabena Yeboah asked report to work on daily basis as staff in the Public Service, unlike previously when they were being called to duty only when their services were needed.
The Spraying Operatives were given orientation on Mapping involving identification of breeding sites, Management Exercise which implies spraying and destruction of breeding sites as nature of breeding sites, types of mosquitoes and management practices.
