The Wenchi Diocese of the Methodist Church, Ghana, has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive in his Office.
The delegation made of Executives and Frontline Administrators of the Diocese was led by the Presiding Bishop Right Rev Alfred Andam.
The meeting discussed, amongst others issues the operation of the Methodist University College and Nursing Training College established by the Church.
The Presiding Bishop called for support and innovative ways to attract the indigenous people into the Institutions, without traveling far to pursue same or similar academic studies.
The MCE Dr Prince Kwakye Afriyie pledged his unflinching support and called on the public to help the Diocese make the above educational institutions succeed. “The Service Town Agenda will be a mirage without Strong Educational Institutions”, he stressed. MCE assured that, he would continue to monitor these institutions to effectively perform their functions in serving the people.
