The General Assembly of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly on 29th June 2020 revised its client services Charter to reflect the services rendered by the Assembly. The Development of this brochure according the meeting was to enable the public have easy access to operational information on the services being rendered by the Assembly. It will also serve as a guide outlining the processes and procedures for accessing each service.
The following are the various Units, Divisions and Departments in the Assembly and the services they render to the public.
The Finance Department. Apart from being the custodians of the finances of the Assembly, render the following services to the public. Business Operating Permits, Certificate for contractors, Revenue Mobilization
The Social Welfare and Community Development Department. This Department gives the following services; Disability Fund, help in Child Maintenance and Welfare and Early Dispute Resolution.
Client service unit. The Assembly has a well-established Client Service Unit that render the following Services to the public. General Dispute Resolution, Receive complaints, Receive visitors who visit the offices of the MCE or MCD
Birth And Deaths, Marriage and Divorce. This Unit runs the following services, give Birth Certificate, Give Death Certificate, Marriage Certificates and Divorce Certificates
The Environmental Health Unit. This Unit renders the following; Management of Environmental Sanitation, Issuance of Food Vendors Certificate and Management of Solid Waste
The Physical Planning Department. The Department guides the public to legally acquire and own lands through the study of land documents, Processing of documents for Building Permits of Payment and Collection of Building permits
The Wenchi Municipal Assembly in her quest to render all the above services to the public has well trained Client Service Officers who are always available to provide answers to all questions.
